My portfolio is a showcase of my dedication to the craft. I aim to create tattoos that are not just visually appealing but also emotionally resonant for each client.
I began my professional tattooing journey in 2010 at Elektrisk Tatovering in Odense, Denmark. My artistic leanings gravitate towards the old-school traditional styles of tattooing. I excel in American Traditional and Japanese Traditional, but my versatility also extends to other styles. Each piece I work on is a tribute to the rich history and craftsmanship that traditional tattooing embodies.
I’ve been in the tattooing industry since 2006 and had the enriching experience of honing my skills for five years at Hammersmith Tattoo in London. This international exposure has deeply influenced my artistic approach. I specialize in realism, black and gray, as well as neo-traditional styles. Each tattoo I create is a blend of technical skill and artistic flair, aiming to capture the essence of what my clients are looking to express.
I seriously started engaging in tattooing around 2005, and since 2010, I’ve been a tattoo artist and co-owner at rīgas tinte, where I have the opportunity to work with a fantastic team every day. While I respect and master various styles, my favorite has to be traditional tattooing, with its distinct expression, durability, and in some ways—principle.
Meet the visionary leader and guiding force behind Rīgas Tinte. While he may not wield the tattoo gun, he’s the maestro orchestrating the symphony of creativity that unfolds within the studio’s walls.
Edgars is more than just the owner; he’s the driving force that propels Rīgas Tinte. With an innate understanding of both the art and business of tattooing, he ensures that every artist can focus on what they do best—creating masterpieces—while he takes care of the rest. From bookings to artist well-being, Edgars is the spine that holds the Rīgas Tinte family together.
My portfolio is a canvas of my journey in the tattooing world. I pride myself on being versatile, mastering various styles to give each client a unique piece that they’ll treasure forever. Every tattoo I create is a labor of love, executed with meticulous attention to detail.
I’ve been tattooing for quite some time now, and I have a particular fondness for the contrast that black ink brings to a design. I employ various techniques and styles to achieve results that both I and my clients are pleased with. In my view, tattoos should be simple yet impactful, as large as possible, and easy to read. I also believe in using rich black ink so that as the tattoo naturally blends with the skin over time, it continues to look striking and well-defined.
MY FASCINATION WITH TATTOOING BEGAN IN 2011, ALTHOUGH MY INTEREST IN THE ART FORM DATES BACK TO MY CHILDHOOD. OVER THE YEARS, WHAT STARTED AS A HOBBY HAS BLOSSOMED INTO A FULL-FLEDGED PROFESSION, ESPECIALLY SINCE JOINING THE TEAM AT RĪGAS TINTE. WORKING ALONGSIDE TALENTED AND INSPIRING COLLEAGUES, I SEIZE EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO CONTINUALLY EXPAND MY KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS. I PARTICULARLY ENJOY WORKING IN GRAPHIC TATTOO STYLES SUCH AS TRADITIONAL AND DOTWORK, WHERE I CAN FULLY EXPRESS MY ARTISTIC VISION.
